92 Years Old Parliament House of India:

The Parliament House is one of the most impressive buildings in Delhi. The Parliament House at the end of Parliament Street was designed by British architects Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker. This iconic building was inaugurated in 1927 by Lord Irwin, the then Governor General of India.


The Parliament House comprises of a central hall which is circular in shape and 98 feet in diameter. The Central Hall is considered to be a very important part of the Parliament building since this is where the Indian Constitution was drafted. The building houses the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and a library hall. In between these three chambers lies a garden. The building also has facilities for accommodation for ministers, important officers of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Chairman and Parliamentary Committees.

The Parliament House also houses a museum which aims at educating people on the “Democratic Heritage of India” and which dates back to 2500 back. The museum is set up in a very interesting way and is complete with sound and light videos, large screen interactive computer screens and virtual reality among other features.

New Parliament House of India:

The old Parliament House of India, built on the design of Edwin Lutyens, was completed in 1921. It cost 83 crore at that time. The entire complex is built in a 2.4 hectare area. At the same time, the new building of the Indian Parliament is now being built at a cost of 971 crore. It will be built in an area of ​​about 64500 square meters. The Tata group will build it by 2022. Prime Minister Narendra Modi did Bhoomipujan for this new building on December 10, this building will have four floors. There will be a total of 120 office spaces inside it. It will have 6 entrances.



World oldest Parliament House of Netherland:

The building of the Parliament of the Netherlands, Baninehof, is considered the oldest, the corners of which are still being built. Built in the city of The Hague, it was built in the 13th century. Work is still going on in this historic building of the Parliament of the Netherlands. Its two houses have parliament meetings. It is also the office of the Prime Minister of the country. The Netherlands consists of 100 heritage establishments.



Italy's Parliament building was built in the 16th century:

Like the Netherlands, the Parliament House of Italy is also very old. The Palazzo Madama Parliament House in Rome, the capital of Italy, was built in the 16th century. The construction of this parliament building was completed in 1505 and the Senate of the Republic, a house of the Parliament of Italy, has been meeting since 1871. The building was initially constructed for the Medici family. Later it was made a Parliament House. Like the Indian Parliament, Italy also has a large number of MPs. The Republic has a total of 315 elected members.



French Parliament House was built in the 17th century:


It was built in the 17th century, is named Luxembourg Palace and is located in Paris. The French edifice was built between 1615 and 1645 as the King's edifice and since 1958 the Parliament House has been continuously found here. In addition to France, there are two dozen parliament buildings that were constructed in the 19th century and are still active. Most of them are located in the continent of Europe and America.




US Parliament House 'Capital' is 200 years old:


The construction of the Parliament House Capital of America, one of the oldest democratic countries in the world, was completed in 1800 and is considered the oldest parliament building in North and South America. Like America, the Parliament House of Britain is also very old. Britain's House of Common and House of Lords were formed in 1840 and 1870 respectively. Many parliament buildings have been constructed around the world even in the 20th century.
